Joseph Sarcona Leads JJS Transportation & Distribution in New York

Based in New York, Joseph Sarcona has served as president of the family-owned JJS Transportation & Distribution Co., Inc., for the last three years. In this capacity, he continues the company’s decades-long tradition of fulfilling the intermodal and final-mile logistics needs of its clients with first-rate customer service. Mr. Sarcona oversees JJS’ operations throughout the Tri-State area through major transportation hubs in each state. Under his leadership, the company specializes in trucking, warehousing, import and export logistics, and bonded transfers. JJS also serves the Ports of New York and New Jersey using one of the biggest asset-owned fleets in the industry. All the while, Joseph Sarcona upholds the JJS promise to meet each client’s needs with “safety, security, and service.”

Complementing his work at JJS, Mr. Sarcona is a member of the American Trucking Association (ATA), the industry’s largest trade organization in the U.S. The ATA promotes policies that advance the truck transportation sector and improve its safety and sustainability.

For the last five years, Mr. Sarcona has also led Willow Court Capital Management as managing partner. There, he and his experienced team support businesses in the transportation, real estate, logistics, and asset management sectors. Mr. Sarcona and the experts at Willow Court leverage their knowledge of global capital markets to lead acquisitions and formulate business initiatives that align with their clients’ long-term business strategies.

Mr. Sarcona began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he gained expertise in institutional equity, derivatives, and electronic trading over the course of 16 years. In 2012, the company appointed him as global co-head of listed derivatives for electronic trading after he spent four years as Asia Pacific head of electronic trading. 

In his spare time, Mr. Sarcona enjoys several hobbies, including traveling, following the New York Mets and New York Giants, and cooking. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fairfield University.
